Crook County Kids Club in Prineville Oregon
Supporting Local Families Through After-School Programs, Youth Enrichment, and Summer Activities

High Points
- Safe after-school and summer programming for K–5 students
- Arts, science, recreation, and educational enrichment activities
- Supporting local families while helping youth build confidence and life skills
For many working families throughout Prineville, Crook County Kids Club provides far more than after-school care. Operating at three elementary school locations, the nonprofit organization creates safe, engaging environments where children in kindergarten through fifth grade can learn, explore, build friendships, and participate in structured enrichment activities beyond the classroom.
Programs include arts, science, recreation, physical activity, and educational opportunities designed to help children continue growing during critical developmental years. During the school year, students participate in supervised afternoon programs, while expanded summer programs provide longer hours, meals, enrichment activities, and continued opportunities for learning and social development.
The impact often extends well beyond childhood. Today, some staff members working within the program are former Kids Club participants themselves, demonstrating how positive experiences, mentorship, and community support can come full circle as young people grow into future leaders and role models.
