Based in Prineville, Renee has built Olive and Blu around a creative eye, a comfortable approach with people and the ability to turn ordinary surroundings into memorable images. Since beginning the business in 2017, her photography has grown to include families, high school seniors, weddings, engagements, professional headshots, real estate and other creative sessions.
But a list of photography services doesn’t really explain Renee’s work. A graduating senior isn’t simply standing in front of a camera. It’s the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another. A family photograph may eventually become one of the few images where everyone was together at that particular moment in life. A professional headshot can introduce an author, entrepreneur, business owner or company leader to people they’ve never met.
And sometimes the assignment is simply something different. Renee brings the same creative attention to each one.

Renee’s connection to Crook County also extends beyond paid photography sessions. She has donated her time and talent photographing local school sports, teams and community activities—capturing moments that matter to families long after the game or event has ended.
That local familiarity is especially valuable when choosing where to shoot. Renee doesn’t merely know how to use a camera in Central Oregon. She knows the landscape, the light and many of the places that can turn an already important photograph into something distinctly Central Oregon.

Renee’s husband, Seth, is a local firefighter/paramedic as well as Olive and Blu’s second photographer. Olive and Blu offer drone and real-estate photography, with real-estate inquiries handled directly through Seth.
With his professional drone capabilities, Seth can capture land, homes and commercial properties from perspectives impossible to achieve from the ground. His aerial work can be especially useful for landowners, real-estate marketing and commercial development projects where understanding the surrounding property and setting is part of the story.
Together, Renee and Seth can provide, still photography, ground-level perspectives and aerial imagery that give a project considerably more visual depth.
