See Two New Worlds During Your Visit.
Ours and The Other.

People around the world know that Central Oregon is one of the more cherished spots to visit. Not just for the recreational and cultural appeal, but for its reputation in the Dark Sky communities. We show you where.

Central Oregon Dark Skies

Prineville Dark Skies

Internationally Recognized for Its Dark Sky Splendor

Central Oregon is known for its dark skies. Most specifically, Prineville and Crook County have been crowned with an International Dark Sky Park designation at Prineville Reservoir. You can take a night trip out, or even rent a cabin, pitch a tent or park an RV to truly take in a full night. Closer in to town, but still a Bortle 2 rating, is Wine Down Ranch who also has the same kind of overnight accommodations. You won’t have to go far to get to dark, but these locations here offer a bit more than a roadside stop. See Dark Parallel for more Central Oregon locations.
